What Is Thermage?

Thermage is a non-surgical skin tightening treatment that firms loose skin on the face, eyes and body. It uses radiofrequency energy to heat the deep collagen layer while a cooling system protects the skin surface. The heat tightens existing collagen and triggers your body to build new collagen over the following months.

Thermage treats the face, jawline, eyes and eyelids, neck, abdomen, arms, thighs, knees and buttocks. It works best for adults with mild to moderate skin laxity, such as early jowls, hooded eyelids, crepey neck skin or loose skin after pregnancy or weight loss.

Your Thermage Treatment in Four Steps

1. Consultation

Carol, our owner and lead laser specialist, assesses your skin, reviews your health history and plans your treatment around your goals. Thermage is not suitable during pregnancy or for clients with a pacemaker or another implanted electronic device.

2. Skin Preparation

We cleanse the treatment area and mark a temporary grid on your skin. The grid guides even, consistent coverage.

3. Radiofrequency Treatment

The handpiece delivers short pulses of deep heat. Each pulse ends with cooling and gentle vibration to keep you comfortable. Sessions take 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the area.

4. Results That Build Over Time

Your skin feels firmer soon after treatment. New collagen forms over two to six months, and results typically last one to two years. Mild redness usually fades within a day. Individual results vary.
